The project involved significant civil and infrastructure works, including over 2 million m³ of rock blasting, 38 km of road lane paving, and more than 70 m³ of concrete works, culminating in the construction of one 250-meter tunnel and two additional structures.
The Jamarat Tunnel, in particular, represents a vital component of this development, serving as a critical passageway that enhances safety, flow, and accessibility for millions of pilgrims during Hajj.
Its completion played a key role in improving crowd management and ensuring smoother, more secure movement through one of the most sensitive and congested areas of the pilgrimage journey.
